Kickstarter Spinner Project

I never knew I needed a Spinner..

Several months ago a fellow craftsman, customer, and believer in "Made in USA" contacted me about a custom project. Anthony Lawson from J. L. Lawson & Co. called me and said: "Hey Frank, what do you think about making some spinners for me?" I replied with something like: "Anthony.. what the heck is a spinner?!".

Anthony's specialty is manual machining round products. He had made a few spinners but the close tolerances were too time consuming so he gave up on the idea of doing them manually. My specialty is, of course, close tolerance CNC machining round products, so I was instantly intrigued by the "Spinner Project".

We worked together to finalize the design. The plan was for Sunshine Products USA to run a small production batch then J. L. Lawson & Co. would set up a Kickstarter Campaign. To be totally honest, I didn't understand the attraction to this fidget gadget. In fact, when I assembled the first one, I couldn't even get it to spin!

It took a little while, but I'm now caught up in the obsession. If you appreciate the quality of my precision machined products, and are even slightly curious about this fidget craze, you won't regret grabbing a Centre Spin!
